Greengables Class of 2021 Graduation Day
This year was so much more than lockdown.... This was the year of making friends and RAINBOWS and 4th birthday celebrations, learning to make playdough with all sorts of colours and smells. Handprints for all occassions: First days, Mother's day, Father's day and mostly just for messy fun! Meeting Tiny, Alice, Marybell and Fred and singing our favourite songs from the sing it board. The great outdoors in all weathers, an enormous new sandpit, socks and shoes filled with sand, storytime and snacks under the gazebo, performing with our friends on stage, zooming through the car wash on balance bikes. Climbing and jumping at challenging heights and tyres and planks to practice our balancing. Making yummy chocolate apples, glittery sparkly pumpkins and partying in fancy dress, creating a Greengables Wishlist (and recieving too many kind donations to mention!). Wearing Christmas jumpers, making crowns, having a banquet and decorating our Christmas tree before a surprise social distance visit from Santa! ... Saying goodbye for a little while for home learning, scavenger hunts, photo galleries, online story telling, Kim's Game (or Linda's Game?) Guess Who? Greengables Edition and Where's Tiny?..... A day in our PJ's and Big Breakfast with the whole class to raise £100 for Red Nose Day on our return! Practicing our disco moves, baking delicious chocolate Easter nests, a super speedy Easter Egg hunt, lots of laughs with our friends at the fairy tale puppet show and keeping fit with Fitness Freddy. Boxes! So many boxes! Boxes to draw on, paint on, build with, climb into, jump out of, boxes for cars and buses and boats! Perfecting poses in Poppin' Pilates, dressing up as our favourite characters on World Book Day and re-enacting the Enormous Turnip, taking care of our 'Going Home Bears', meeting and feeding Cherry and Sammy (the not so little lambs), butterfly string painting and putting on our own coats. 100 Mega Star Jumps that raised £700 for Captain Tom's challenge! Wigs, ribbons, crowns and coloured hair, unicorn horns and lady birds, plaits and ponytails for Wacky Hair Day! Being part of our very own orchestra, lead by Lorraine from Musical Monkeys! Dinosaur world, potions and parties in the mud kitchen, bubble fun in the water tray and water wall. Teddy Bears' Picnics and Movies and popcorn! McDonald's and ice-creams and playing The Freeze Game. Posing in our Graduation Gowns and hats and getting ready for the next part of our adventures....
This really has been a year like no other and one we will never forget!
Thankyou for being part of it and Goodluck for P1!
